Welcome to my website! I'm a graphic designer based in Orange County, working primarily in print and digital media after graduating in 2019 from Biola University with a BFA in Studio Arts, Design. My educational background informs my love for both minimalism and modernism (the Bauhaus style of unifying art and craft is one of my favorites), while my work experience has reinforced my skills and interest in materials, illustration, typography, and composition. Since finishing school, I've been learning website design (applying what I learned of HTML/CSS to code this website from scratch!) and further exploring packaging design through freelance opportunities. When I'm not doing design work on the computer, I love working with my hands to throw on a ceramics wheel or making progress on my current woodworking home project.

Outside of my creative pursuits, I've got a lot of love, nostalgia, and starry-eyed optimism to go around for most anything really — concepts, feelings, small momentary things, etc. The color yellow is my absolute favorite, and I know it was destiny for it to be this way because my last name means yellow in Chinese. I can talk forever about my old metallic blue 1991 Toyota Previa and how everything about that car is a core memory for me (even the squeaky back windshield wiper). I love the smell of coffee because it reminds me of when I worked at Starbucks, where I had the best coworker family and really grew to know myself as a person. Something I wish came more easily to me is learning languages, but I'm going to still try to meet my overly ambitious goal of becoming fluent in 5 languages by age 30. Many people love to travel and I am no exception - there's just something about that feeling at the pit of my stomach when I'm about to take off in an airplane towards a new adventure. Curiosity feeds my tendency to be easily fascinated and consume information, and I love how that helps me create connections with people over shared interest. To whoever's still reading this, I can't wait to connect with you and show you even more of who I am!
